The mother, whose identity was unknown at the time of publication, reportedly carried the kids into the Ogui Road police station, gave them to the authorities, then changed into her undies and dashed into the oncoming car, which crushed her to death.

According to reports, the three youngsters are two, four, and six years old. It was said that months ago, due to increasing difficulties, her husband fled the house, leaving the wife and the children behind.

The oldest child, when questioned about their father, just replied that he was gone. She was unable to provide any other details regarding their town, family, or residential address.

Nkechinyere Mbah, the wife of the governor of Enugu State, was informed that her spouse may have experienced depression when she hurried to the police station following the incident.

Mbah, moved by the news, promised to raise the kids and provide them with education from daycare center to university. She declared that her Custos Care Foundation would be taking up the children’s sponsorship.

In addition, Mrs. Mbah ordered the kids to be taken from the station and placed in a home right away so that the state could take care of them.

She advised those who struggle with depression to get help and to wait to make snap judgments.

Additionally, she encouraged Ngozi Enih, the Commissioner of the Ministry of Children, Gender, and Social Development, to step up counseling and sensitization, particularly for the depressed.
